A vegan blogger from Atlanta has gone missing here in Houston.
Victoria Moon, 32, was on a road trip with her dog, Jet, attempting to reconnect with her long-lost brother.
"She's been searching for him and hoping to meet up with him," explained her friend, Rosita Fitch. "And as far as we know, she never did."
Moon and Jet were given a place to stay temporarily by Pat Greer, who runs a vegan food store in the fourth ward.
Greer says Moon worked in the store for a few days and then abruptly disappeared, leaving behind her beloved Jet, her purse and cell phone, her keys and her laptop.
"It's like she just vanished," said Greer. "I mean, all her stuff, everything is here. It's just bizarre."
Victoria Moon's blog covered her interest in healing through raw food and a vegan diet. Her last post was Thursday, January 17th.
She was seen by one of Greer's employees on the night of Monday, January 21. Moon's friends in Atlanta say she typed out a text at 11:58pm that night; just two letters: "XO."
"It's been now four days," said friend Kim Huynh. "An accident only takes a second to happen, so it is a time sensitive issue for us."
Huynh and Fitch, along with Moon's family, have created a Facebook page, hoping to coax information on her whereabouts.
