Off-duty deputy shoots, kills suspect in fight

Harris County investigators are looking into a deadly shooting involving an off-duty deputy.

Authorities say two men got into a fight inside a restaurant on the North Freeway and Richey.

The two took the fight to the parking lot.  One man grabbed a gun while the other grabbed a knife.  The man with the knife then began stabbing the other guy.

An off-duty deputy ran over, telling the man to drop the knife.  He refused, so the deputy shot him.

The man who was stabbed is in critical condition.
