A former Houston resident, who was classified as a "high-risk sex offender," has been taken into custody by a law enforcement task force in San Antonio.
Gregg Michael Scott, 52, was last seen in Houston in 2011. He had lived in a home on Werner Street in northwest Houston.
The U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force took Scott into custody after 3 p.m. Tuesday in San Antonio. He was wanted for parole violation and failure to comply with sex offender requirements.
Scott, who was convicted of fondling a 15-year-old girl, was added to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender list on Jan. 18. His criminal history also includes convictions for larceny, theft of property, failure to register as sex offender, and driving while intoxicated.
