The Houston Auto Show gets into gear at Reliant Center, throwing the doors open to the public on Wednesday. The annual car and truck expo is celebrating its 30th year.
Folks are feasting their eyes on fast cars and big trucks, along with more practical rides.
New this year: an obstacle course that lets you put a Jeep through its paces.
Also, manufacturers at the Auto Show are now able to offer actual test drives on about 70 different models.
"You'll pull out of the building, take a test drive, whatever the route they want the test drive to be on," explained Wyatt Wainwright, president of the Houston Auto Dealers Association. "And then you'll enter back into the building. It's brand new to the Houston Auto Show and we think it's going to be a smash hit."
The show continues Thursday through Sunday at Reliant Center.
Tickets are $10 for adults – cash only.
