HOUSTON (FOX 26) -
The New Year rings in a sad ending for Houston's e-sports scene: CompLexity Gaming's Gamma Gamer House is no more.
Sometime in the week prior to Tuesday, CompLexity shut down the Atascocita-area home. The team members and staff have all returned to their homes, inside and outside the US.
One team member, Joshua "TriMaster" Niven, spoke with me over the phone. While the Sugar Land native said he did not know all the details, he did say Gamma Labs did not re-sign with CompLexity. Without a sponsor, the house was shut down.
There is talk of CompLexity opening another house, but the location and time is not known, Niven said.
