Two people are dead after a high-speed chase in East Houston Monday night.
Around 6 p.m., officers spotted a vehicle heading the wrong way on a one-way street, Pasadena Police say.
The officers ran the license plate and discovered the vehicle was reported stolen in Houston.
The chase took the suspected driver and officers eastbound on SH 225, over the 610 bridge and northbound on 610.
The suspected driver tried to exit at Clinton, but lost control and slammed into a concrete barrier. The force of the impact was so severe; it moved the barrier four to five inches.
The suspected driver was ejected from the vehicle. Both he and the female passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.
