NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Firefighters battled flames and heavy smoke from a fire that broke out overnight inside a mansion in Upper Saddle River, New Jersey.

SkyFoxHD was over the scene at about 6 a.m. Friday where the fire appeared to be contained to one house on Sandstone Ridge.

Nearly the entire roof of the house appeared to have collapsed.

Several fire departments from around Bergen County were on the scene to assist.

It is not clear what sparked the fire that reached three alarms at about 4:30 a.m.

"There were no residents inside the house at the time," said Fire Chief John Schianchi.

The fire did not appear to be suspicious, added Schianchi.
