The debate over gun control has commissioners in Travis County considering a ban on gun shows at county-owned facilities.
Pro-gun advocates say if the shows are banned, they'll use the ballot box as a weapon to remove the commissioners.
State Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson says banning gun shows is not the answer.
He believes a greater focus on mental health care would help prevent mass shootings.
