Suspected Picasso vandal surrenders to authorities

HOUSTON (FOX 26) -

A man accused of vandalizing a 1929 Pablo Picasso painting in Houston is now in custody.

Uriel Landeros surrendered to federal marshals at the International Bridge near McAllen, Texas.

Authorities say cell phone video shows Landeros spray painting the artwork title "Woman in a Red Armchair" on display at Houston's Menil Collection in June 2012.

Landeros is charged with felony graffiti and criminal mischief.
