A local lawyer is behind bars on an $18-million bond for stealing millions from his employer, prosecutors say.

Anthony Chiofalo, 51, arrived at Harris County Jail overnight Thursday.  He was extradited back to Houston after surrendering in Rhode Island just weeks before.

Chiofalo is accused of stealing $9 million back in June.  His wife Susan is also charged.

The couple spent some of the money on artwork and vintage comic books, prosecutors say.
