Deputies look for truck driver in fatal hit-and-run

HOUSTON (FOX 26) -

Harris County deputies are still searching for the pickup driver who ran over a man on New Year's Eve.

Investigators say Joshua Kirkland was inspecting the corvette he just crashed on US 290 near Highway 6 around 2 a.m. when a Ford F-150 King ranch truck hit Kirkland, killing him.

The driver ditched the truck at the scene and ran away.
