As in years past, the rules each week: fearlessly (or not) forecasting the Texans and the Cowboys always plus four other games from the weekly professional slate which supposedly allegedly offer particularly promising prospects.

TEXANS (-6.5) at COLTS.
Stakes stacked and subplots thick for Kubiak Crew.  Both quarterbacks in a month long funk but Schaub benefits from upgraded ground game and breaks out with two touchdowns.  Colts emotionally charged with Pagano returning but pull back by start of fourth period with nothing to win and Wild Card activity the following week.  The Texans end the regular season with but one road loss.  Win number one in Indy after 10 straight defeats secures the AFC's No. 1 playoff invitation.  Congrats to one and all.

REDSKINS (-3) vs. COWBOYS.
Romo and the Psychos have lived this final regular-season scene before and it ends in a Titanic/Hamlet kind of way.  Not so much because you can't trust the quarterback, more so because you can't trust the coach.

REST

49ERS (16.5) vs. CARDINALS.

CHARGERS (-5.5) vs. RAIDERS.

BEARS (-3) at LIONS.

SEAHAWKS (-11.5) vs. RAMS.

TOTE BOARD TO DATE
TEXANS (11-4)
COWBOYS (8-6)
REST (29-32)
