A half dozen people are accused of trying to make off with more than $2,500 worth of merchandise from a Walmart and other stores in Porter, Texas.

Montgomery County Precinct Four deputy constables arrested five people at the scene.

Investigators say a sixth person took off with a six-month-old baby boy who had been left in a getaway car with another woman.

The man and the baby were found at a home in Patton Village.
