FULSHEAR, Texas (FOX 26) -

Police are seeking help from the public to identify a woman whose burned body was found on a ranch in Fulshear.

A rancher found the body around 10:30 a.m. Monday on his property on Katy Fulshear Road near Front Street.

After an autopsy was conducted on the woman's body, investigators with the Fulshear Police Department determined that she was between the ages of 20 and 30 years old, stood at a height of between 5-feet and 5-feet 2-inches tall, with a petite body type. She had dark-colored hair that may have been tinted red and wore a belt with several metal rivet designs.

When investigators first encountered the body, they found a small necklace pendant with a sun-moon design.

Autopsy results indicate the woman died from blunt trauma to the body and possibly from strangulation.

Anyone with information about the identity of the woman is encouraged to contact the Fulshear Police Department by phone at 281-346-2202, the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office at 281-341-4665 or Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers, Inc. at 281-342-8477 (TIPS).
