Cruise lines move into vacant Bayport Terminal

HOUSTON (FOX 26) -

The Port of Houston's Bayport Terminal will finally be put to use.

The Princess Cruise Line will begin service there in 2013, and the Norwegian Cruise Line will begin service in 2015.

Representatives held a signing ceremony Wednesday.

The move will generate $200 million for the local economy.

The Bayport Terminal has sat empty since it was built in 2008.
