Former president George H.W. Bush is showing signs of improvement, but remains in the hospital.

The 41st president continues to suffer from a lingering cough related to bronchitis.

He's been at Methodist Hospital since the day after Thanksgiving.

A hospital spokesman says the 88-year-old had a good day yesterday, but doctors are being extra cautious and are in no hurry to send him home.
