PASADENA, Texas (FOX 26) -

One woman was killed and three other people were injured after someone in one vehicle fired gunshots into another vehicle in Pasadena.

Officers with the Pasadena Police Department arrived before 12 p.m. on Tuesday to the East Sam Houston Parkway South frontage road near Vista Road in response to the reported shooting.

Two vehicles were traveling eastbound on Vista Road when the shooting took place. The shooting caused one of the vehicles to swerve into the Houston Garden Centers parking lot where one woman collapsed and died. That woman's husband, who drove the vehicle, was injured, along with another woman and a 2-year-old child who were passengers.

Pasadena police identified the woman who died in the shooting as Yolanda Aguilar, 58.

The vehicle that carried the three shooting suspects is described as a 1999 gray Jeep Cherokee with Texas license plate number CT3 X744.

Investigators say they believe the groups in the two vehicles had known each other. Police encourage anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers of Houston at 713-222-8477 (TIPS) or Pasadena police at 713-475-7800.
