Bush spokesman says he's fine, will be released later this week

HOUSTON (FOX 26) -

Former president George H.W. Bush is still in the hospital.

The 41st president is being treated for a lingering cough related to bronchitis.

He's been at Methodist Hospital since the day after Thanksgiving.

His spokesman says he is showing signs of improvement, but he likely won't be released until mid-week because doctors are taking every precaution to prevent pneumonia.
