The Houston Dynamo traded in their jerseys for suits at their annual year-end celebration at Hotel Zaza.
If you were a season ticket holder, $65 got you into the event and a chance to mingle with the players like Brian Ching.
"We get to dress up once in a while, maybe once a year for some of us, but it's a good chance for us to mingle with fans and season ticket holders," Ching said.
Or just fans who paid $75 for their tickets to Tuesday night's event, hosted by the Halliburton Charitable Foundation.
Even though this was a time for the team to just kick back, relax and reflect on this year's efforts, the big MLS Cup was on everyone's mind.
"Some people are talking about rematch and stuff but for me, it's just another opportunity to win the MLS Cup" Brad Davis said, recalling 2011's match against the Los Angeles Galaxy.
Many are hoping it's no repeat since the team came home only looking forward to their next opportunity to win the championship.
"It's gonna be a big challenge for us, especially playing at their place but like I said, I like our chances this year better than last year," Ching said before heading into the hotel ballroom where the Dynamo also hosted a silent auction.
Folks had the opportunity to bid on tickets, jerseys and all types of memorabilia before an awards ceremony where some of the players will be recognized for their humanitarian efforts, team MVP, defender of the year award and much more before the celebration continues even before this weekend's big championship game.
