Propane spill shuts down US 59 in Wharton County

HOUSTON (FOX 26) -

US 59 is shut down in both directions in Wharton county because of a tanker spill.

The propane truck overturned near County Road 423 around noon Monday.

Crews are busy trying to clean up the road. Officials said 59 will be closed for several more hours.

There is no word on what caused the crash or if anyone was hurt.
