1st Hispanic woman in space to become JSC director

After seven years, Johnson Space Center Director Michael Coats is stepping down as director.

Veteran astronaut Ellen Ochoa will take over at the beginning of the year.  

She has served as deputy director since 2007 and was the first Hispanic woman to go into space.  That was in 1993.
