More than two dozen children living in foster care will spend the holidays with their new families.
Wednesday marked the seventh annual "Adoption Day" at the Montgomery County Courthouse. Twenty-six families formally adopted 33 children.
This was one family's second year of adding another child to their home.
"When we got the girls in our home, I asked Gary, ‘Do you think you could feel any different about a child that is biological?' and he said, ‘I don't think I can have any stronger feelings than more than what we do for them,' and the same goes for our little guy."
Montgomery County's efforts are a part of National Adoption Day which raises awareness of the more than 100,000 in foster care waiting for a permanent home.
