Witness after witness testified that Jessica Tata is a violent, vengeful woman who hated authority and refused to take responsibility for her actions.
Watching all the witnesses was Rossie Castillo, grandmother of Elias Castillo.
"I promised my son I would be here to the end." said Rossie.
A former classmate testified that Tata bragged she was going to torch the school and showed her a pack of matches.
An assistant principal told her account of how Tata forged higher grades to participate in a theater production, then followed her home after being disciplined.
"I was intimidated," said Sandra Wilson.
Lisa Hayes, the manager of the Houston Fire Department Firestoppers program, which Tata had to attend as a condition of her probation, said that Tata knew the consequences of her actions.
"When I told her she could have killed people, she said she didn't care," said Hayes.
Testimony will resume Thursday and should continue most, if not all, of next week.
