HOUSTON (FOX 26) -
The former payroll manager at the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center was arrested in a scheme to steal cash from the organization.
Angela Michelle McCraken, 43, is charged with aggregate theft from a non-profit. She was terminated from the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center in 2009, the chief financial officer for the center confirmed with FOX 26 News on Thursday.
McCraken stole money from the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center between Oct. 12, 2007 and Aug. 12, 2009, according to a probable cause document filed against her by the Harris County District Attorney's Office. She was arrested Wednesday and was placed in jail on a $10,000 bond.
