Man attacked in First Colony Mall restroom

SUGAR LAND, Texas (FOX 26) -

Police are searching for someone who attacked a man inside a Sugar Land mall restroom.

The attack took place before 8:45 p.m. Monday inside the restroom near the Designer Perfumes store in First Colony Mall.

A 47-year-old man was using a urinal when police say another man beat him until he was unconscious before taking his cell phone. A mall employee found the beaten man and contacted police by phone.

The man who was attacked was taken to Methodist Sugar Land Hospital and later released.

Police obtained surveillance video that shows the beating victim was followed into the restroom before he was attacked. The video shows the attacker leaving from the restroom a short time later and fleeing from the mall through a service door before driving away in a two-tone four-door vehicle.

The attacker is described by police as standing at a height of between 6-feet 1-inch and 6-feet 3-inches tall and between 30 and 35 years old. In the surveillance video, he work a black buttoned shirt with black pants and black shoes.
