Off-duty deputy constable shoots, kills suspected home invader

HOUSTON (FOX 26) -

An off-duty deputy constable shot and killed a suspected home invader in her southwest Houston home.

The shooting happened around 6:20 p.m. Thursday in the 11900 block of Oakmoor near West Airport, Houston Police say.

The Harris County Precinct 7 Deputy Constable was at her apartment home when someone forced their way inside. Fearing for her life, she opened fire.

The suspected home invader was dead at the scene.

Police are investigating.
