these retreats, service members must have returned from deployment no less than 3 months or no more than 15 months prior to the start date of each retreat. Families who attend will receive a $200 stipend per family upon

Military Family Award Program
http://www.militaryfamily.org/our-programs/awards/military-family-award-program/
The Association's Military Family of the Year Award recognizes strong military families who embrace their service to the Nation, are role models in their community, and understand that together they are stronger. Nominate your
family or a special family you know. One family from each of the seven Uniformed Services will be chosen, from the nominations submitted, to represent their Service branch. As you know that while one member joins, the
whole family serves.
Teen Leadership Camps
http://www.militaryfamily.org/our-programs/operation-purple/teen-leadership-camps/
The Operation Purple Leadership Experience (OPLE) is for military teens that have shown an ability and willingness to lead and mentor in their military communities. The summer camps are Phase I of II of the
leadership experience. Camps are united in a mutual mission: to develop strong leadership skills by giving teens the tools needed to develop self-confidence and the opportunity to test their strengths and abilities. As a condition
of this free program, each teen and his or her parent(s) must sign an agreement to complete a community service project and document progress with the National Military Family Association. All participants will be required to
obtain a community mentor as part of the application process.

help deal with the stresses that result from a parent's deployment, through a memorable camp experience in a "purple" environment. Operation Purple camps are open to military children of all ranks and Services: active and
reserve components—and give priority to children whose parents are currently within a 15 month deployment "window").
