Leak under control at BP Texas City Refinery - Houston weather, traffic, news | FOX 26 | MyFoxHouston

Texas City Emergency Management is monitoring a chemical leak reported on Wednesday morning at the BP Texas City Refinery.

The sulfur dioxide leaked out of a smoke stack at the refinery but is under control, confirmed Bruce Clawson with Texas City Emergency Management.

Workers evacuated only from the affected unit. The leak did not affect the community and not all employees were evacuated from the refinery.
