A Louisiana business owner is headed to prison after fessing up to a health care fraud conspiracy with local connections.
Endurance Iyamu, 48, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit health care fraud and health care fraud. Friday, a judge handed down a 30-month prison sentence and ordered Iyamu to pay $663,371 in restitution.
The US Attorney's Office says Iyamu's Louisiana-based company, Skyline Medical, submitted $1,232,306 in claims to Medicare. He received $663,371 from those claims, the majority of which were for beneficiaries in Texas' southern district.
Iyamu is in custody.
