Target stores hit by serial thief

Posted: Updated:

Sugar Land police are trying to target a serial thief that apparently likes to pick up items at Target's in Fort Bend and Harris County but not pay for them.

All of the items taken were from the electronics department.

Investigators say $750 dollars in merchandise has been stolen from the Target store in Sugar Land on the Southwest Freeway during six different incidents.

  • June 6 at 5:35 p.m.
  • June 13 at 3:45 p.m.
  • June 18 at 3:46 p.m.
  • June 23 at 10 a.m.
  • June 29 at 3 p.m.
  • July 10 at 12:32 p.m.

In all six of the incidents, the man placed the electronics in a basket and later left the store without any visible merchandise. Empty packages were later found in the store.

Anyone with information should call the Sugar Land Police Department at (281) 275-2540.
