Harris County Precinct 4 deputy constables have arrested a registered sex offender who faces charges of possessing child pornography and violating a protective order by his wife.
The Harris County Pct. 4 Constable's Office High Tech Crimes Unit filed the possession of images of child pornography against Jack Edward Logan, who violated the protective order in a separate incident.
Logan's wife surrendered his laptop computer to authorities after he visited her home in violation of the protective order, according to a statement released Thursday by the Constable's Office.
After investigators learned the computer contained several images of child pornography, the case against Logan was presented to the Harris County District Attorney's Office.
Logan was charged with three counts of possession of child pornography with no bond offered to him. He was also charged with violation of a protective order in county court with $50,000 bond offered.
After deputy constables arrested Logan, they placed him into custody at the Harris County jail.
