The University of Houston has fired three veteran police officers following an internal affairs investigation about the recent disappearance of items that fell off the back of a delivery truck on campus.
The incident happened on Sept. 27 and the school describes the missing items as two mini-appliances.
U of H police chief, Ceaser Moore, says the dismissal of the officers for "failing a test of integrity", will strengthen his department.
University policy allows the three officers to appeal their dismissal.
The results of the internal affairs investigation has been turned over to the Harris Country District Attorney's office to see if charges will be filed against the three.
