Houston Humane Society celebrates changing seasons with festival

Posted: Updated:
HOUSTON (FOX 26) -

The gorgeous fall weather makes it a great time to be outside with your family, including your dog. And Houston Humane Society has a fun, FREE family event planned for Saturday, Oct. 13.

On the second Saturday of each month, Houston Humane Society has a special event at the shelter. HHS is hosting a FREE fall festival in October for the general public. Everyone is invited to come out, including your dog!

The event begins at 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Houston Humane Society on 14700 Almeda Road in southeast Houston.

The festival will include a bounce house and pumpkin painting for children, free photo sessions for the entire family including pets (costumes are encouraged, and you will get a free copy of the image on a CD to take home with you), free hotdogs and popcorn, face painting and balloons, special gifts for clinic clients (a free dose of Advantage with the purchase of any dog or cat vaccination package).
