Within a period of less than 24 hours, three robberies were reported near the University of Houston-Clear Lake campus.
The first of the three robberies was reported Sunday when a person was threatened with a gun near a Shipley Do-Nuts store on El Dorado Boulevard. No description of the suspect has been released in that incident.
Just after 12 a.m. Monday, a UHCL student was threatened with a gun and robbed at the Armand Place Apartment Homes on Cyberonics Boulevard. The robber was described as a very thin white man in his early 20s who stands at a height of 5-feet 8-inches tall. He has a closely-cut hairstyle, wore a cream-colored short-sleeved shirt with blue jeans, and carried a black semi-automatic weapon. The suspect approached the student and demanded money from him.
More than two hours later around 2:20 a.m. Monday, someone else reported that they were threatened with a gun and robbed in the parking lot of a Denny's restaurant on Bay Area Boulevard, across from UHCL. No description of the suspect was released.
Houston police have not determined if the robberies are related.
