Deputies are crediting a citizen with helping them capture three men who were charged with vehicle burglary and fraud in Fort Bend County.
The owner of a vehicle reported the burglary around 5:20 p.m. Tuesday in the parking lot of Kids R Kids on Bellaire Boulevard in the Richmond area. She told deputies that the suspects smashed through the front passenger windshield of the vehicle and stole a purse, wallet and iPad.
Deputies say the owner of the vehicle described the vehicle the burglars rode away in and the number on the paper license plate of that vehicle.
After deputies found the vehicle in the 13400 block of Bellaire Boulevard, they arrested three suspects.
Between the time the vehicle was burglarized and the time that the suspects were arrested, the suspects used a stolen credit card to charge at a fast food restaurant.
Deputies also found items stolen from two other people when they arrested the three men.
The suspects were identified as Houston residents Carter Wells, 44, Justin Dugar, 23, and Kendall Ramsey, 18. They have each been charged with burglary of a vehicle and fraud.
Wells received bonds of $2,000 for the burglary and $4,000 for the credit card abuse charge, and Dugar and Ramsey received bonds of $1,000 and $3,000.
Ramsey has posted bond while Wells and Dugar remain in Fort Bend County Jail.
