Thief shot at north Harris County salvage yard

Deputies have learned that one of two theft suspects was shot by an employee at an automotive recycling yard in north Harris County.

The two thieves were trying to steal some wheel rims from A-Plaza Auto Parts on Hill Road near Scoregga Lane when an employee fired gunshots toward them at around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The employee was not aware that the gunshots left either of the suspects injured, but one of them arrived at a hospital with a gunshot wound and is in stable condition.

The employee was staying at the business because two robberies had been reported there recently.
