ICE deports man wanted for murder, extortion in El Salvador

HOUSTON (FOX 26) -

Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents have deported a man wanted for murder, organized crime and extortion in El Salvador.

Lee County Jail officials learned Walter Fernando Alfaro-Pineda, 33, was an international fugitive after his arrest on June 18, ICE says.

ICE turned Alfaro-Pineda to Salvadoran officials on Sept. 28.
