Medline Industries, Inc. launched the Second Annual National Pink Glove Dance Video Competition in July and the FOX 26 News staff was more than willing to join in to support breast cancer awareness.
FOX 26 News talent and crew danced to the Katy Perry song "Part of Me" wearing as much pink as possible including Medline brand pink medical gloves in a bid to win the $10,000 donation on behalf of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
Voting for the videos begins Oct. 12 and ends Oct. 26 with the winners announced on Nov. 2. Second place competitors will win a $5,000 donation while third place finishers will win a $2,000 donation.
Anyone who wants to vote for their favorite Pink Glove Dance videos must visit www.pinkglovedance.com to view the submitted videos and have a Facebook account to register to vote.
"The response to the competition is truly overwhelming," said Andy Mills, president of Medline. "The Pink Glove Dance has become more than a fun music video; it has inspired an international movement of passionate caregivers, health care workers, students, firefighters – people from all walks of life – to show their support in fun, creative ways for people with this terrible disease."
Medline Industries, Inc. will donate a portion of each sale of the pink gloves to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF).
