Governor Castro: how does that sound?
San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro is a rising star in the Democratic Party, highlighted by a keynote speech at the Democratic National Convention in August.
Monday, Castro and popular Newark Mayor Cory Booker sat next to each other at a New York event. That's when Booker tweeted he believes Castro could become the first Latino governor of Texas.
Castro responded, saying he plans on staying mayor of San Antonio for now but believes a democrat could win statewide office in six to eight years as demographics in Texas change.
