Go Backstage - Owl City, Fiona Apple arrest, 'Gangnam Style'

"Call Me Maybe" singer Carly Rae Jepsen has joined forces with Owl City for the song "Good Time" and Owl City performed live at House of Blues Houston on Tuesday in support of the album "A Midsummer Station." Adam Young of Owl City admitted in an interview with Backstage OL that social media helped him reach out to fans of his music since he was quite shy.

Pretty Lights will perform at Bayou Music Center in downtown Houston on Sunday, Sept. 23.

The video for the song "Gangnam Style" by PSY has gathered more than 225 million views on YouTube, which makes it the top video on the YouTube 100 chart. PSY spent his childhood in South Korea and went on to study at both Boston University and Berklee College of Music in the U.S. He is signed to Scooter Braun's Schoolboy Records label in the U.S. Braun is best known as Justin Bieber's personal manager. PSY made appearances recently on "Ellen," "Saturday Night Live," and "Today."

Singer-songwriter was arrested in the Texas town of Sierra Blanca for possessing hashish. Singer Willie Nelson, rapper Snoop Dogg and actor Armie Hammer were arrested in the same town for similar offenses. Police say Apple "freely admitted" the drugs belonged to her. She spent one night in jail and was released after she posted $10,000 bond. Apple is scheduled to perform on Friday at Bayou Music Center.

Youthful Italian operatic trio Il Volo will perform live at Bayou Music Center on Saturday, Sept. 22.

The motion picture "Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3" will be released on DVD on Tuesday, Sept. 25 as part of a two-disc Blu-ray/DVD combo pack. The movie is the sequel to the Disney-produced Beverly Hills Chihuahua series, which features the voice of George Lopez.
