A suspected gunman is in the hospital after an officer shot him in southwest Houston.
The shooting happened around 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the 7800 block of Cambridge Street, Houston Police say. The officer shot him in fear of his life.
The gunman was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital in an unknown condition.
Investigators believe he may be involved in the shooting of a female. That female is also in a hospital in an unknown condition.
