Houston native Ha is Master Chef

Houston, Texas---- (FOX26) The Season 3 Master Chef winner is: Christine Ha!
And her close friends and family went wild at a watch party in westHouston Monday night.
   

About 20 plus house guests chowed  down on dumplings,finger foods and cake!

Some of Ha's favorite foods when she's not whipping up competition on Gordon Ramsey's"Master Chef."

"We've been following all season and even during the Olympics" saidTerry Wu.  "She's a huge
 inspiration just to us as friends and I know that she's a hugeinspiration to America, I'm just
 so proud of her" added close friend Evelyn Coronejo.

In facteveryone at Monday night's watch-party had something wonderful to say about Christine Ha who made history bybecoming the first blind contestant on the FOX hit show.

Ha is a Houston native who's been talked about allacross the country after beating
big odds and giving others with disabilities a whole new"vision" on life.

Marisa Knowles the Director of special projects at Light House-Houston confirmed Ha use to study attheir non-profit center and says she sure did leave on sweet note.

"She's a great chef and she's supermotivated.... and here at the light
house we are all about teaching those who are blind teaching them abouttechnology so that they can be  independent," said Knowles.

Ha is no longer enrolled at the centerand as you may have watched tonight continues to
follow her passion of cooking.

And given Monday night's grand finale all of her hard work paid - off.
Literally!!  She banked 250-thousand dollars and a cook-book deal.
