The 10 high school hot shots recognized throughout this regular season will create a cluster of record-smashers and bone-crushers vying for the Honda Player of the Year.
That lofty list of distinction started with Katy's Aundre Dean in 2007.
The next four were all part of last year's BCS bowl bonanza: LSU's Russell Shepard from Cy Falls in 2008, Oklahoma St.'s Shaun Lewis at Hightower in 2009 and West Virginia's Dustin Garrison at Pearland in 2010.
