Cat owners in League City: beware. Coyotes are preying on your pets.
A coyote or coyotes have been attacking and eating cats in the Marina Del Sol subdivision.
At least half a dozen cats have disappeared over the last few months, their remains being left in a park.
Some people there claim to have seen one coyote.
People have called animal control, but they won't handle wild animals. The state wildlife agency won't intervene either so it's up to the police.
Jim Appel says he lost his cat Gray eight days ago.
The city recommends walking pets on leashes, keeping cats indoors, and securing your garbage cans.
