Prosecutors have filed charges against a man accused of raping and robbing a Domino's Pizza delivery driver in Baytown, Texas.
James Jackson III, 20, is charged with aggravated sexual assault and aggravated robbery.
On May 28, the victim, a 21-year-old woman, told Baytown Police a young Black man, wielding a knife, got into the backseat of her car in the 2100 block of North Alexander Drive and ordered her to drive to several delivery locations so he could collect the money.
Frustrated at the amount of money he was getting, he ordered the victim to drive to a nearby apartment complex and raped her there. He then fled on foot.
The victim told police her attacker was the same man who had gone into her store two days before and stole hot wings.
On June 26, Baytown Police learned a young Black man, also wielding a knife, robbed a 57-year-old man at a Valero store in the 1600 block of North Alexander. The robber fled with $3 and the man's ID card.
Sunday, police were sent to that same Domino's store where the rape and theft occurred after someone reported a suspicious person there. Officers found a young Black man resembling the same man accused of stealing hot wings, ordering more hot wings.
He was arrested and charged after the victims identified him, Jackson, through a photo array.
