A nanny is accused of severely abusing a baby.

According to court documents, 48-year-old Tirza Magana would hold her hand tightly over the baby's mouth and nose, stopping the child from breathing.

The alleged abuse went on for five months, until the parents became suspicious.

They installed cameras inside their southwest Houston home and fired Magana after witnessing her abusing their baby.

Magana is charged with injury to a child.
