
NFL sources told FOX 26 Sports the Houston Texans reached a contract agreement with left tackle Duane Brown.
According to league sources Brown agrees to a six-year extension worth $53.4 million.
The deal includes a guaranteed $22.08 million.
Brown is entering the final year of his original contract that will pay him $2.08 million.
At the beginning of training camp quarterback Matt Schaub called Brown the best left tackle in the NFL.
Last season Brown gave up just 2.5 quarterback sacks.
Heading into his fifth season, Brown has started all 60 games he has played in for the Texans.
