Posted: Updated:
HOUSTON (FOX 26) -

Houston mourns the victims of the Sikh temple shooting in Oak Creek, Wisconsin.

Thursday night, members of several different religions joined Mayor Annise Parker in Downtown Houston to pray for the victims of Sunday's tragedy.

There are 5,000 known Sikhs living in Houston.

Sikh leaders in Wisconsin are planning a memorial ceremony on Friday to honor the victims of the shooting.

Thursday was the first day police allowed worshippers back inside the temple.

Restoration crews spent the day mopping, taking up old carpeting and doing other chores.

Six people were killed and three others were badly hurt at the place of prayer after Wade Page went on a shooting spree.
