HOUSTON (FOX 26) -

Police say they arrested a woman after she was caught stealing from a nursing home in Friendswood, Texas.

Treatha Robinson Johnson, 45, was charged with theft on Thursday.

Friendswood Police say around 9:30 a.m., Johnson walked into an open office at Heritage Nursing Home in the 210 block of East Heritage Drive.

The office administrator walked in to find Johnson rummaging through her purse and small makeup case.  Nursing home staff had to hold her until police arrived.

Before her arrest, Johnson told staff she was trying to get information about the home for her mother.

When officers arrived, they learned Johnson was wanted on five warrants:

-- Four counts of credit card abuse from Montgomery County ($1,500 bond each)
-- One count of credit card abuse in Galveston ($80,000)

She is in Friendswood City Jail and will be taken to Galveston County Jail later.

She has a prior criminal record, including theft, assault, forgery and credit card abuse.
