
Police are trying to identify a suspect in the shooting of a man in southeast Houston.
The shooting took place before 9:30 p.m. Wednesday on Martin Luther King Boulevard near Pershing Street.
The man was shot several times during an altercation on a sidewalk near a home on Martin Luther King Boulevard. He was taken by Houston Fire Department paramedics to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. His body was taken to Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences to determine his identity.
Investigators are searching for an unidentified black female who may have been with the shooting victim when the shooting took place.
